Air quality in our region is one of our greatest assets, yet, as our population grows, so does our collective impact
upon air quality.
We believe that education is an integral part of any program if lasting behavioral changes to reduce air pollution
are to occur. Our outreach efforts stress how our everyday activities can affect our air quality.
The agency provides education to the community in a number of different ways, including partnering with local private
and public entities; producing publications, making presentations to schools, service clubs, and professional associations
and by participating in local events.
The agency's annual calendar provides an overview of
the agency, and information about air quality issues, what our agency is doing about them and what you can do.
Educating youth is another important aspect of our public education goals. Our agency's free classroom presentation program introduces students to the concepts of air pollution and global warming.
We also offer educational display
materials for use in classrooms, libraries, municipal buildings and other locations.
