PERMIT APPLICATIONS RECEIVEDAll proposed sources of air pollution must submit a permit application to NWCAA for review prior to the construction of a new facility or the expansion or modification of an existing operation. The application is called a "Notice of Construction (NOC)" application. There is a minimum 15-day public notice for the applications we receive. The public can request a public comment period or a public hearing during this time. Below is a listing of recent NOC permit applications received and the dates the comment period ends for each project:
SEPA DeterminationsThe State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) review identifies possible environmental impacts of a proposed activity. NWCAA can be the lead agency for a SEPA review for local projects that may impact air quality. Projects that are likely to significantly impact air quality are required to perform an analysis called an environmental impact statement (EIS). The EIS evaluates ways to eliminate or reduce the impacts of a project. If the project is unlikely to adversely impact air quality, NWCAA will issue a determination of non-significance (DNS). Below is a listing of recent DNS determinations:
Legal NoticesThe public can comment on a proposed project during the comment period. Below is a list of projects open for public comment:
